Billy Porter to perform at Pride in London this year

The Grammy and Emmy Award winner will perform on the Trafalgar Square stage

Billy Porter will be closing Pride in London on the Trafalgar Square stage.

The Grammy and Emmy award winner – who shot to fame in the Broadway production of Kinky Boots – is currently starring in Ryan Murphy’s hit show Pose, which has just been renewed for a third season.

And now, Pride in London organisers have revealed Golden Globe nominee will close the show on the Trafalgar Square stage on July 6.

The stage is set to host a number of acts including Saara Aalto, Becky Hill, Willam, Scarlett O’Hara and Soju.

Other acts including the London Gay Big Band as well as cast members from Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and the London Musical Theatre Orchestra.

Ian Massa-Harris-McFeely, Deputy Director of Events for Pride in London, commented: “We’re extremely proud to bring some of our community’s biggest and brightest stars to our stages for Pride in London this year.

“Our ambition is always to showcase and give a platform to all the incredible and diverse LGBT+ artists and performers our city has to offer, alongside some incredible leading performers from across the international music scene.”

Sinitta, Four of Diamonds, Heather Peace, SuRie, Toya Delazy and The Voice finalist Lauren Bannon AKA Lloren are among the incredible lineup of female talent, appearing alongside some of the acts that competed in Pride’s Got Talent 2019, including Saachi, Ina Shai and Amber Dee.
