Attitude’s 300th issue to be marked with special free exhibition and 68-page supplement

'Attitude 300 celebrating with Three' will be free to the public from 17-19 August at London’s Hospital Club.

Attitude is set to celebrate a little bit of history next Thursday (16 August) as we release our landmark 300th issue!

The milestone is being marked by ‘Attitude 300 celebrating with Three‘ – a gallery exhibition and a supplement bagged with the magazine, both featuring Attitude’s 60 favourite covers and partnering with the UK’s fastest-growing mobile network.

Iconic covers released since our first issue hit newsstands in May 1994 touch the entire LGBT+ spectrum and include stars ranging from Boy George, George Michael and Sir Elton John to Beth Ditto, Laverne Cox and even His Royal Highness Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.

In addition, there are two Prime Ministers, two former professional footballers (there’s a thing) and five Spice Girls, though not at the same time…

The free-to-enter exhibition runs at London’s Hospital Club on Endell Street in Covent Garden from Friday 17 August through to Sunday 19 August, and is open on each of the three days from 10am to 6pm.

The 300th issue of Attitude – complete with 68-page bonus supplement – goes on sale on Thursday 16 August, available in all good newsagents and retailers nationwide or to download tailored for mobile, tablet or desktop.

Darren Styles OBE, the Publisher and Managing Director of Attitude magazine says: “Our 300th issue is a landmark, and so we are delighted to be teaming up with Three to deliver both a brilliant gallery exhibition and a special supplement to accompany the issue, awash with nostalgia and a little bit of media history.

“Everybody remembers their first Attitude, I certainly do (Marc Almond on the cover, issue 009), and the 60 covers we have picked remind us that sharing a story has the power to change the world.

“And remember 300, the graphic novel and film? They were epic and swashbuckling, awash with topless men and tales of heroism from a minority in the face of a majority. Well, Attitude 300, celebrating with Three, is the same – but with less blood and a better skin regime.”

Jolene Sicklemore, Head of Marketing Communications and Execution at Three, adds: “We are excited to be partnering with Attitude on such a milestone issue. At Three, we encourage our customers and staff to have the freedom to explore, experience and be more.

“At Pride we teamed up with RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Alaska to support the Attitude Foundation, and this felt like a natural next sashay for Three.”

Attitude 300 celebrating with Three runs 17-19 August at London’s Hospital Club, Covent Garden, free to enter 10am-6pm.
