Lady Gaga hinted at motherhood just 10 months ago, revealing her fiancé Michael Polansky would be a “beautiful father”.
The comments have resurfaced following reports that the former Attitude cover star and Polansky have welcomed their first child together.
Speaking to Rolling Stone for an interview published in November 2025, Gaga opened up about her relationship with Polansky and their hopes for the future.

“He’s gonna be a beautiful father,” Gaga said of her fiancé. “Being a mom is the thing I want the most. And he’s gonna be a beautiful father. We’re really excited about that.”
Polansky also discussed their plans for a family, saying he did not want Gaga to feel that becoming a mother meant separating that part of her life from her identity as an artist.
The couple became engaged in 2024 after first being linked in 2019. They have largely kept their relationship private, although Gaga has spoken increasingly openly about their plans for the future.
In October 2025, Gaga appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where she described motherhood as her “next starring role”.
“I really want to be a mom,” she said. “That’s my next starring role, I hope.”

Page Six first reported on Friday (11 September) that the couple had welcomed their first child, with photographs showing Gaga carrying a newborn during an outing in Northern California.
PEOPLE subsequently confirmed the news, citing a source, while Rolling Stone also reported that the couple had welcomed their first baby together.
Neither Gaga nor Polansky has publicly revealed the baby’s name, sex or exact date of birth. Gaga has largely stayed out of the spotlight since wrapping her Mayhem Ball tour in April.
