Will & Grace casts Chelsea Handler as a ‘high-powered lesbian’ in upcoming season
Chelsea Handler has officially joined the cast of Will & Grace
Will & Grace has cast Chelsea Handler as a “high powered” lesbian in its upcoming season.
The Chelsea talk show host will play Donna Zimmer in season 10 of the NBC comedy series. According to Entertainment Weekly, Zimmer will be one of Grace’s (Debra Messing) clients.
Reports suggest that Handler’s character will start dating Grace’s sister Janet (Mary McCormack) during the new series.
The show, which originally ran from 1998 to 2006 for eight seasons, has been nominated for five Emmy Awards, including an Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nomination for Megan Mullally.
The show was revived in 2017 for a ninth season and was quickly renewed for two more seasons.
Season 10 of Will & Grace will premiere on October 4 in the US on NBC. Channel 5 airs the show in the UK, but it’s unknown when the new season will premiere.
