What happens when ‘Family Guy’s Peter Griffin gets Grindr?

By Troy Nankervis

Notorious for their sharp flavour of comedy, the creators of ‘Family Guy’ are drawing from online dating culture in an amusing scene that sees Peter Griffin jump onto gay hook-up app Grindr.

And while we’re pretty sure Peter is a little more on the naive side when it comes to the wonderful world of dating apps, Lois just wants to make sure when a familiar sound lights up the screen his phone.

“I’m meeting up with someone from my Grindr app,” Peter announces to Lois.

“Isn’t that for anonymous gay hook-ups?” she replies.

“No, no this one is a way for men who enjoy sandwiches to connect”.

The scene in question comes from a forthcoming episode titled ‘An App A Day’, where Peter buys a new smart phone.

The teaser sketch has been viewed over 1.6 million times online.
