By Fabio Crispim

Thousands of people took to London to celebrate Pride and during the parade two police officers proposed to their partners.

A Met officer got down on one knee, after breaking away from the parade, and asked his partner, Jonathon Sammons, to marry him.

According to the Gaily Grind, the moment was caught on camera by the Met LGBT Network and they tweeted a photo of the proposal and wrote, “He said yes”.

Speaking to ITV News, Sammons revealed he had no idea his fiancé would be proposing.

He said, “Speechless! Amazing! Oh my God, I can’t believe he did it.”

“It’s been planned for a while but not like this,” he added.

Another couple, both Met officers, also got engaged durning the parade.

The Met LGBT Network also tweeted a photo of this proposal and alongside it, they wrote, “He said yes too”.

Extra Police officers were brought in to London’s Pride following the attack in Orlando that left 49 dead.
