Watch | People magazine names its Sexiest Man Alive 2015

By Will Stroude

Proving that some things just keep on gettin’ better with age, People magazine have named David Beckham as their Sexiest Man Alive 2015.

The news was revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (November 17), where the host kept viewers guessing as to the winner’s identity as they quizzed him behind a mask.

After the big reveal, Beckham joked: “I would obviously like to thank my parents, for bringing me into this world of course… I would like to thank my hairdresser, my stylist, photoshop…”

Speaking in the new issue of People magazine, which hits US newsstands this Friday (November 20), the 40-year-old former England captain says: “It’s a huge honour, and I’m very pleased to accept”.

Of what his wife Victoria makes of him scoring the 30th anniversary Sexiest Man crown, he adds: “I would hope that she feels this way about me all the time anyway! But she said, ‘Congratulations!’

“We kind of laughed about it with the boys and the boys kind of laughed at me and said, ‘Really?! Sexiest man alive? Really?’

ERM, yes Dave, really. Really really.
