Watch Mel C and Olly Alexander perform a Spice Girls classic together

By Will Stroude

She may have called time on the Spice Girls, but it turns out Mel C isn’t averse to whipping out the hits for the right cause.

The singer, who opened up about bullying in the Spice Girls in an interview with us last month, joined forces with Years + Years front man Olly Alexander to sing the classic ‘2 Become 1’, as well as Mel C’s iconic song ‘When You’re Gone’, originally sung with Bryan Adams.

The artist formerly known as Sporty was brought out by Olly at London’s Union Chapel, where Olly was performing to celebrate homelessness charity Shelter’s 50th birthday. After joining Kylie Minogue on stage for her Christmas spectacular at London’s Royal Albert Hall over the weekend, it fair to say that Mr Alexander is having a very good week indeed.
