Watch: Emmy host Andy Samberg takes aim at Kim Davis

By Attitude Magazine

While the host of last night’s Emmy Awards, Andy Samberg, spent much of his hilarious opening monologue skewering Hollywood’s big players, he couldn’t resist one pointed barb at the expense of Kim Davis.

Anti-gay Kentucky clerk Davis emerged as a sort of sick heroine of the anti-marriage equality movement in recent weeks because of her refusal to grant marriage licences to same-sex couples – and her subsequent brief incarceration.

Samberg

Rounding up the television highlights of the year, Samberg mentioned that controversy-prone TV chef Paula Deen had appeared on Dancing With The Stars – then had this to say:

“If I wanted to see an intolerant woman dance, I would’ve gone to one of four of Kim Davis’ weddings. It’s amazing that Kim Davis came out of jail to Eye of the Tiger, considering how many guys have boned each other to that song.”

It’s hardly Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It On, but we’ll thank Samberg for the vivid mental image.
