Victoria Beckham has responded to the news that the Spice Girls are reforming without her for the first time.

The artist formerly known as Posh Spice, 44, broke her silence on Instagram on Monday (5 November) just minutes after her former bandmates announced plans for a UK-wide stadium tour in June 2019.

The tour will see the group perform as a foursome after Beckham, who took part in a 10-year reunion tour back in 2007 and special performance for the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games, refused to join the latest venture.

Shared a picture of the newly-reunited group, Beckham proved there no hard feelings from her end as she wrote: “Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!

“I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year.

“I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X vb #spicegirls #friendshipneverends”.

The Spice Girls announced dates for the Spice World 2019 UK Tour in a special video shared on social media on Monday afternoon (5 November).

Tickets go on sale from 10.30am this Saturday 10 November. Dates and venues are as follows:

  • Saturday 1 June – Manchester Etihad Stadium
  • Monday 3 June – Coventry Ricoh Stadium
  • Thursday 6 June – Sunderland Stadium of Light
  • Saturday 8 June – Edinburgh BT Murrayfield Stadium
  • Monday 10 June – Bristol Ashton Gate Stadium
