will transfer to London’s West End in September, it has been confirmed.

The critically acclaimed production – from director Jamie Lloyd – will open at the Apollo Theatre on Monday, September 29.

Richard Fleeshman (pictured) starred as lead character Bobby Strong in the original London production, which ran until May at the St James Theatre.

Casting for the West End production is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Director Jamie Lloyd said: “Having attracted a diverse audience of all ages at the St. James earlier this year, I’m bursting to bring our production of this brilliantly off-kilter musical comedy to the West End, where I hope we’ll make an even bigger splash.

“I’m delighted to return to the Apollo Theatre – the perfect home for our energetic and anarchic cast to run riot in.”

The show features music and lyrics by Greg Kortis, with set design by Soutra Gilmour, and choreography from Ann Yee.
