UK cabinet minister Justine Greening comes out during Pride in London
Justine Greening has made history by coming out as the first LGBT female cabinet minster during Pride in London.
The Daily Mail reports that Greening took to Twitter yesterday (June 25), and tweeted, “Today’s a good day to say I’m in a happy same-sex relationship, I campaigned for Stronger In but sometimes you’re better off out! #Pride2016”.

The tweet also made fun of the EU referendum as Greening campaigned to remain.
David Cameron, who released a Pride celebration video, replied to Greening’s tweet, writing, “Congratulations Justine – thats great news.”

Nicky Morgan MP also replied and said, “Delighted for you both. Happy #Pride2016”.

Ruth Davidson, the Scottish Tory leader, spoke to PinkNews and said, “I’m delighted that Justine is settled and happy and feels confident to come out. I consider Justine a friend as well as a colleague and I couldn’t be more chuffed for her.”
The reaction to her coming out has been positive and Greening took to Twitter once more to thank everyone.
