Troye Sivan recalls his most awkward Grindr date
Even the singer can't escape bad Grindr dates
Troye Sivan might be a world famous singer, but even he has some bad Grindr dates.
The 22-year-old singer recalled a pretty awkward date he went on “a while back” during an interview with PopCrush.
Sivan explained how he was “hanging out” with the guy when all of a sudden the man pulled out his phone and began browsing more men on Grindr.
“It was a while ago,” he said. “I was like, ‘OK. I think I’m just gonna go home.'”
Sivan also explained that dating was a “little bit less accepted” and a “little bit more scary” back then, but now that he’s a superstar, he claims the dating game is easier.
The star also spoke to PopCrush about how he wants to be remembered.
He said: “What I want people to remember me as is someone who loves pop music and someone who loves songwriting. And someone who was unapologetically honest about who I am, but also about what I want to say in my music.
“Through good or bad, through being boxed into something or not being boxed into something or whatever, I write really personal pop music.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Good Side’ singer revealed he would have loved to play Timothée Chalamet’s role of Elio Perlman in the Oscar-nominated Call Me By Your Name.
