The new ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4’ trailer is here and the drama is real – WATCH

"All Star rules have been temporarily suspended."

By Will Stroude

Amongst all the excitement about the fact RuPaul’s Drag Race is getting its own British edition on BBC Three next year, it’s been easy to forget that we’re just DAYS away from All Stars 4 kicking off another round of workroom mayhem.

Ahead of the special 90-minute series premiere this Friday on VH1 in the US (and Saturday morning on Comedy Central for UK viewers), we’ve got a most in-depth look yet at what’s in store this season, and the long and short of it? There’s gonna be drah-ma, honey.

The newly-released trailer gives us another chance to see Monét X Change, Latrice Royale, Trinity Taylor, Farrah Moan, Valentina, Monique Heart, Jasmine Masters, Naomi Smalls, Gia Gunn, and Manila Luzon as they compete for a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.

It looks like they’ll be plenty of twists in store as Ru tells the queens that All Star rules – which see the top queens lipsync for the right to send the competition home – have been “temporarily suspended.”

Helping RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley and Ross Matthews judge this year’s All Stars will be US Olympic freeskier Gus Kenworthy, Love, Simon’s Keiynan Lonsdale, British pop singer Rita Ora, Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo, Desperate Housewives actress Felicity Huffman and singer Ciara.

Also joining the judging panel will be Fantastic Beasts’ Zoë Kravitz, Saturday Night Live’s Cecily Strong, singer Kacey Musgraves, Black-ish star Kenifer Lewis, designer Jason Wu, former Community star Yvette Nicole Brown, actress Erica Ash, New York nightlife queen Susanne Bartsch, and model Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love.

All Stars 4 premieres with a special 90-minute episode on Friday 14 December at 8/7c on VH1 in the US, and on Comedy Central at 1.30am the following day in the UK. Chck out the new trailer below:
