The Devil Wears Prada is being adapted for a stage musical with Sir Elton John writing the music and we are too excited.

The iconic movie adaptation of Paul Rudnick starred Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt and has become a staple film in everybody’s collection.

It follows Andy (Hathaway), an ambitious young write in New York City, who lands a job at a prestigious fashion magazine.

As she tries to navigate the world of fashion under her stylish but terrifying boss, she finds herself caught between the dreams she thought she wanted and the price it will cost/

But now, the Chicago Tribune have reported a stage musical is in the works and will run from July 14 until August 2020 at the James M Nederlander Theatre, in Chicago.

Following on from the success of Rocketman, Elton John is reportedly on board to provide the music with lyrics by Shaina Taub.

The musical will be directed by Anna D Shapiro with music supervision provided by Nadia DiGiallonardo.
