The third instalment of The Crown will see Oscar-winning national treasure Olivia Colman take over the reins from Claire Foy as The Queen, while Helena Bonham Carter will play Princess Margaret following two seasons of scene-stealing appearances from Vanessa Kirby.

The Crown’s third season is set to cover the years 1964-1977, while the fourth – already in development ahead of an expected 2020 release – will cover the Thatcher years and has already seen Gillian Anderson cast as the Iron Lady and newcomer Emma Corrin as a young Lady Diana Spencer.
