‘Schitt’s Creek’ star Dan Levy: Wouldn’t we all be happier if we were able to love out loud?
The openly gay actor stars and co-created the hit Canadian comedy

Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy says people would be happier if they are able to ‘love out loud’.
The hit show was co-created and co-stars the openly gay actor and although the show is set to end after the next season, it continues to prove its success and won the Best Comedy award at the Canadian Screen Awards last night.
During the acceptance speech, Dan gave a moving speech about acceptance and being able to ‘love out loud’.
He said: “In Schitt’s Creek we are writing a world that examines the transformational effects of love when the threat of hate and intolerance has been removed from the equation.
“While that’s not a reality for many, our goal is to shine a light out there that asks the question, ‘What if it was? Wouldn’t we all be happier if we were able to love out loud?’”

The show – which also stars Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Annie Murphy – recently aired a powerful episode where Dan’s on-screen boyfriend comes out to his parents.
