Rylan reassures fans after news reports about his welfare: ‘I’m good – I wasn’t, but I am now’

Rylan has responded to reports about his welfare, assuring fans he’s “good”, adding: “I wasn’t, but I am [now].”
The presenter has been keeping his head down since announcing his divorce from Dan Neal, his husband of six years, in June. Of late he’s slowly been returning to the public eye of late (including attending the Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar earlier this month).
Today, however, it was today reported by The Sun that Rylan had been offered a year off work from his Radio Two job after he allegedly started crying in the studio, prompting crisis meetings.

Addressing the claims in a brief Twitter statement today, the former X Factor star said: “Couple of news stories today. Be assured, I’m good. I wasn’t, but I am now x.”

Last month, the star poked fun at his difficult 2021, tweeting: “I’ve been through enough this year, really don’t need this petrol drought to make a sly trip to the M&S garage at midnight in a dressing gown taken away from me tbh.”
Addressing the split in June, Rylan said in a statement: “Following reports about Dan and I spending time apart, I feel I have to speak out as the way it is being reported is unfair.
“I have made a number of mistakes which I deeply regret and have inevitably led to the breakdown of our marriage.”
Rylan, who is gay, is also known for presenting The One Show, This Morning, and Supermarket Sweep.
