Russell Tovey and Ben Platt have joined the cast of Industry.
The actors will appear in the fifth and final season of the HBO and BBC drama, which is currently in production.
Platt will play Matt Crenshaw, a venture capitalist and early backer of a wellness-tech company.
Who will Russell Tovey and Ben Platt play in Industry?
His storyline will connect him with two other new characters. Zosia Mamet plays Carmen Dame, a fitness influencer who has become the founder and CEO of a wellness-tech company. Dianna Agron plays Skip Binksy, the company’s CFO.
Tovey has been cast as Declan P. Davis. He is the deputy to Nikesh Shah, a left-wing politician played by Bally Gill.
The previously announced cast includes Cary Elwes as investor Padgett Stillman, Sam Riley as Solomon Kerr, an elusive British businessman who made his fortune in Silicon Valley, and Jessica Brown Findlay as Marina St. Clair, a family friend of Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington).
Luke Manley will play execution trader Stevie Delmonte, while Eduard Poliakov has been cast as trader Olexij Kovalchuk.
When is Industry season 5 set for release?
The eight-episode fifth season began filming in August. HBO announced earlier this year that it would be the final instalment of Industry. No release date has been announced.
The series follows young professionals working in London’s financial sector and has expanded its storylines into technology, politics and other areas of business since its first season.
Season 4 saw Harper (Myha’la) and Yasmin (Marisa Abela) move on from their time as graduates at investment bank Pierpoint.
The pair became involved in separate storylines after a fintech company arrived in London. Yasmin was navigating her relationship with tech founder Sir Henry Muck, while Harper became involved with executive Whitney Halberstram (Max Minghella).
The season also featured Ken Leung, Sagar Radia, Kiernan Shipka, Charlie Heaton, Toheeb Jimoh, Amy James-Kelly, Roger Barclay, Andrew Havill, Kal Penn, Jack Farthing, Stephen Campbell Moore, Claire Forlani and Edward Holcroft.
