‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ announces MNEK, AJ Pritchard and Curtis Pritchard as guest coaches

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has confirmed three more stars who’ll be lending their talents to the inaurugal British version of the hit drag competition.

Singer MNEK will join Strictlly Come Dancing pro AJ Pritchard and his Love Island star brother Curtis will appear on the BBC Three series as sepcial coaches during the series, which is coming either “very soon” or “this Autumn” depending on whether you listen to the BBC or AJ.

Announcing his participation in Drag Race UK on Twitter on Wednesday (24 July), AJ, whose brother Curtis appeared on Drancing With the Stars Ireland before joining the current series of Love Island, wrote: “So excited to Finally tell you that myself & @CurtisPritchard so honoured to be part of the all new @dragraceukbbc as the dance coaches & choreographers.

He added: “Coming this Autumn, make sure you tune in to see  @rupaulofficial crown the UK’s First Drag Superstar!”

Revealing his own particiapation in the eight-part series, MNEK wrote: guys i totally h̶a̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶i̶g̶n̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶N̶D̶A̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶t̶e̶l̶l̶ ̶u̶ forgot to tell u that I’m gonna be on @dragraceukbbc! so excited 2 have been asked to be a part of it- can’t wait to see how the episode pans out 💙 also  @rupaulofficial was super sweet and tall 💕”

The trio of coaches join previously announced guest judges including Cheryl, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall, Spice Girl Geri Horner, star of The Amazing Spider-Man Andrew Garfield, Chewing Gum writer and actress Michaela Coel and (possibly) Paul O’Grady on the series.

Guest judges will join a panel consisting of RuPaul, Michelle Visage and either Graham Norton or Alan Carr each week as 10 as-yet unnamed queens are whittled down to one to find Britain’s Next Drag Superstar.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is coming soon to BBC Three.
