RuPaul on UK version of ‘Drag Race’: ‘Let’s do it!’
By Josh Haggis

RuPaul and Michelle Visage have discussed the prospect of a UK version of Logo TV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Jonathan Ross had bought the rights to develop a UK version of the drag-themed reality show – and was lining up British drag star Jodie Harsh to present it.
Drag Race judge Michelle Visage reveals during this week’s ‘What’s The Tee’ podcast that she met up with Jonathan Ross recently – and told him the show would only work in the UK if RuPaul hosted it.
“[Jonathan Ross is] a huge fan of the show and he believes what I believe – that people want you,” says Visage to RuPaul during the podcast. “The people don’t want another drag queen, 100%. And when I told him that you were down to do it, he was like ‘What?! This changes everything. Absolutely!'”
She continues: “This is the way it’s supposed to be. There’s a huge following that they don’t want anybody else – they want Ru. And the the third person would be that Brit who would tie it all together. You, me and a Brit.”
RuPaul then confirms that he is keen to helm a UK version of the show, telling Visage: “Let’s do it! I’m ready for it. I’m ready for it… so, what’s the next step? [Ross has] got to pitch it to a network?”
Earlier this week, Adore Delano – one of the finalists on the latest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race – released the Alice in Wonderland-themed video for her new single Party – watch the brilliantly ridiculous promo clip here.
