RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Tayce has hit back at “bitter” season one queen Vinegar Stokes over outfit critiques – and has now received an apology.
The season two finalist took to Twitter to address Vinegar’s comments on Wednesday, ahead of last night’s final.
Speaking on a G-A-Y livestream, a clip of which Tayce has shared online, Vinegar said: “I blame the edit for making Tayce look better than she actually is.
i mean don’t hold back girl😅so sorry I let you down by showing you all my runway looks at brunch before hand. My mistake. I’ll try and bring that “DRAG RACE” version of me that ya looking for next time. anyway, im off to get ready for the finale. 🔪 pic.twitter.com/ap09wePg7i

“I don’t want to see a drag queen I know from brunch or the five-minute gig you do in the bar then get drunk with after. I want to see the Drag Race version.”
Vinegar added: “I’m seeing Tayce in the same jumpsuit, same colours. Same old shit. I’ve not seen anything which is different.”
The queen then makes comments about Tayce’s relationship with A’Whora, which you can hear in the above video.
“‘Friends’ is an overstatement”
Responding to Vinegar’s comments, Tayce tweeted this week: “i’m sorry @TheOnlyVinegar but the drag race edit made me look better then I actually am? Ok. Tell me to my visage next time if that’s not how you feel…”
In a separate tweet, Tayce said: “I mean don’t hold back girl. so sorry I let you down by showing you all my runway looks at brunch before hand. My mistake. I’ll try and bring that “DRAG RACE” version of me that ya looking for next time. anyway, im off to get ready for the finale.”

The star added: “Forgot how bitter vinegar actually was until today! wouldn’t be so pressed if weren’t meant to be friends. however “friends” is an overstatement now. #byehodgepodge. [Sic]”
In a series of tweets yesterday, Vinegar issued a “wholehearted” apology for her comments, saying: “I may have done this all wrong, got it all the wrong way round. I do not have the luxury of a PR person, so when it comes to this whole public apology thing I’m just trying to navigate through.
“I would never want anyone to feel uncomfortable with me not putting an apology out including @its_tayce. I thought a direct message and statement might be enough, but in my heart I know the extra mile to make amends with a friend is important and leaving people with hurt is not my bag.
“I hope Tayce can accept my apology and we can move on from this as friends and colleagues, because regardless of what my opinion is of a person portrayed on TV show outside of the lights & cameras, I value Tayce and I don’t want a joke or comment made regarding a TV show to blackout my opinions on someone who I truly look at, admire and are a true fan of since we met at Her Upstairs in Camden and when I had the opportunity to judge Tayce in a competition, my one comment was ‘watch and learn from Tayce because this is how you win a competition or even drag race!’
