Joan Rivers would be “overwhelmed” by the public’s support of her, according to her daughter Melissa.

Melissa has offered another update on her mother’s health, saying that she currently “remains on life support”.

Yesterday (September 2), it was reported that the legendary comedian would be brought of her medically induced coma so doctors could assess the damage to her brain.

Melissa added in her statement: “I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers.”

Rivers is currently being treated by staff at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where she was admitted to undergo a procedure on her vocal cords last Thursday (August 28).

She reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest during surgery, and was rushed to the hospital’s emergency ward. At the time, she was said to be “in critical condition”.
