Rihanna is to release a ‘concept album’ to coincide with the release of upcoming Dreamworks film Home.

Dreamworks Animation head Jeffrey Katzenberg announced the singer’s role in the film during the company’s annual earning results earlier this week.

The film tells the story of an alien race that invade earth in order to hide from their enemy, and make a new home.

In order to do so, they begin to relocate the human race to another planet.

The animated film is out this November, and features the voices of stars such as Rihanna, Jim Parsons, Jennifer Lopez and Steve Martin.

It’s rumoured that Rihanna will release her eighth studio album this summer, which would mean two new albums from the Barbadian star in 2014.
