Ricky Martin reveals he’s expecting a fourth child with husband Jwan Yosef

"We are pregnant!"

Ricky Martin has announced that he and husband Jwan Yosef will soon welcome a fourth child to their family.

The ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ singer, 47, revealed the happy news during a speech at a charity gala on Sunday (29 September), excitingly telling the audience: “We are pregnant!”

Martin, who is already father to 11-year-old twins Valentino and Mateo and a daughter, Lucía, who the family welcomed in December, was accepting the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) National Visibility Awared at the 23rd annual HRC National Dinner when he made the surprise announcement.

After sending his love to his children as well as husband Yosef, who he wed in 2017, the singer declared: “And by the way, I have to announce that we are pregnant”.

As the remark drew raputurous applause, a grinning Martin added: “We are waiting. I love big families.”

Martin, who was honoured with the Legend Award at last year’s Attitude Awards, first began dating Yosef, a Syrian-Swedish artist, in 2016.

The star, who recently made a welcome return to music on Colombian singer Maluma’s latest single ‘No Se Me Quita’, has previously said he’s happy for the media to shine a spotlight on his marriage in order to help normalise LGBTQ relationships in the public eye.

“We love it! It’s not even for us; it’s for our kids,” he said in 2018.

“It’s for my kids to look at us on that red carpet and say, ‘Ah, those are my daddies, how cool!’ And to boost my children with self-esteem and let them understand how amazing it is to be part of a modern family…”
