Queen and Adam Lambert for BBC One on New Year’s Eve
By Sam Rigby
Queen and Adam Lambert will lead BBC One’s New Year’s Eve coverage this year.
They will put on a special show at Westminster’s Central Hall in the run up to midnight, following in the footsteps of Gary Barlow, who performed in 2013.
Queen + Adam Lambert Rock Big Ben Live will be aired live on BBC One for those who don’t get tickets to the concert. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday (December 2).
Roger Taylor said: “I never imagined we would be around to usher in the year of 2015, what a thrill! We promise you a great night.”
Meanwhile, frontman Adam Lambert added: “Words can’t describe how excited I am, we are going to kick off 2015 in style!”
The announcement follows the band’s performance on last night’s (November 30) X Factor results show, which saw them perform Somebody To Love with the remaining contestants.
