By Attitude Magazine

Pop sensation Pink has stepped back into the recording studio to capture a brand new theme song for The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Entitled Today’s the Day, The Daily Mail reports the upbeat track was recorded at the Warner Brothers Studio Lot in Los Angeles, California and will play at the top of the popular daytime program, which debuts its 13th season in September.

The 35-year-old singer of global hits including Try, Get The Party Started and Blow Me (One Last Kiss) brought along four-year-old daughter Willow Sage Hart to help perform in the song, and features in a behind-the-scenes teaser clip released by Ellen producers.

The clip shows footage of Pink in the recording booth with program highlights from the last 12 years which includes interview grabs with Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, Jennifer Aniston, Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp and Gywneth Paltrow, not to mention a hilarious dance-off with American First Lady Michelle Obama.

“The new theme song captures the essence of The Ellen DeGeneres Show but most importantly it’s a good song to dance along to,” said producers.

Pink has appeared on Ellen’s program 11 times and is rumoured to be hard at work on a seventh studio album with Greg Kurstin, who helped produce her last No.1 album The Truth About Love.
