Parents throw daughter a surprise Pride Party after she comes out
Kinsey, a 17-year-old from New Jersey, got the shock of her life when her parents threw her a surprise Pride Party.
According to Buzzfeed News, Kinsey came out to her parents when they brought up the subject of her sexuality.
Less than a week later, Kinsey’s parents told her they were throwing an early 4th of July party and she was sent to the mall with her cousin.
When she returned home she found that her family had planned a surprise Pride party for her, with the entire kitchen covered in rainbows including plates, cups and napkins.

She told Buzzfeed that the LGBT community had also showered her with support on social media “I love being part of such a caring and awesome community. The best part is seeing how happy the party has made everyone.”
She adds: “Especially in the light of the Pulse shootings this past Pride Month, our community needs a little joy and hope and I’m glad to say my family has helped contribute to that.”
That’s parenting done right.
