‘Orange Is the New Black’ renewed for third season

Orange Is the New Black

has been renewed for a third season.

Netflix have committed to a further run of episodes even before the second season has premiered.

Actress Laura Prepon confirmed the renewal via Instagram, posting an image of potential season three episode titles.

Prepon stars as Alex Vause in the prison drama, the former girlfriend and now fellow prison inmate of Taylor Schilling’s Piper.

Based on a memoir by Piper Kerman, Orange Is the New Black centres on a middle-class New York woman called Piper Chapman, now engaged to a man, who is given 15 months’ jail time after her former girlfriend, an international drug smuggler, grasses her up for transporting a suitcase full of drug money ten years previously.

Netflix will make all 13 season two episodes available to stream on June 6.
