Olly Murs: ‘I’m 20% gay’

By Attitude Magazine

Olly Murs is no stranger to receiving attention from his gay fans, but his latest admission might just send them into overdrive…

The singer and former Attitude cover star told The Sun he considers himself “20%” gay – and while maths was never our strong point, we’d say we like those odds.

Olly was responding to comments made by ‘Grimsby’ star Sacha Baron Cohen this week in which Sacha, who’s known for his outrageous characters, said that he was “At least 31% gay”.

“I’m probably the same, or maybe 20%” said Olly, whose hits include ‘Troublemaker’, ‘Stevie Knows’, and ‘Up’.

“I’ve got a lot of gay friends I get on with really well. I get on with everyone. Everyone’s got a bit of campness about them.”

The 31-year-old recently announced his departure from presenting The X Factor instead choosing to focus on his music. It followed the announcement that his co-host Caroline Flack had also decided to quit the series as well as judge Nick Grimshaw.
