Ocean’s Eight to feature all-female cast

By Fabio Crispim

An all-female cast has been confirmed for Warner Bros’ Ocean’s Eight, a spinoff from the rebooted Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen.

So far Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett are confirmed to star in Ocean’s Eight which is set to be directed by Gary Ross who worked on The Hunger Games. Sources suggest that other stars including Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway and Mindy Kaling are currently in talks to join the film.

Sources also say that Awkwafina, an American rapper who starred in Zac Efron’s Neighbours 2, will join the cast and that the eight member has yet to be announced.

A release date hasn’t been announced but production on the film will start in October but the film is expected to follow on from Ocean’s Eleven.

We can’t wait to hear more about it.
