Nick Grimshaw announces compilation album ‘The Nixtape’

Nick Grimshaw is to release his first compilation album, it has been announced.

The Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenter has put together The Nixtape, a 2CD collection of party music featuring tracks by Calvin Harris, Disclosure and Clean Bandit.

Promising to span genres including hip-hop, house and drum and bass, the compilation will feature recent number ones including Sigma’s Nobody to Love and Route 94’s My Love alongside retro anthems including Dizzee Rascal’s Fix Up, Look Sharp and Out Of Space by The Prodigy.

Speaking about The Nixtape in a press statement, Grimshaw said: “I’m so excited to release an album of all my favourite songs and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

The Nixtape will be released on September 22 on Island Records.
