By Will Stroude

RuPaul’s Drag Race stars have come together to create a powerful statement of solidairty with the Black Lives Matter movement.

More than 40 former cast members from both sides of the Atlantic have recorded messages calling for more to be done to tackle racism, as demonstrations continue across the world two weeks after the killing of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minnesota.

Constants featured include Mayhem Miller, Chad Michaels, Gia Gunn, Gigi Goode, Honey Mahogany, Jujubee, Vivacious, Mariah, and Drag Race UK stars Divina de Campo, Cheryl Hole and Blu Hydrangea.

The video also includes a mesage from season 12 contestant and reigning Miss Congeniality Heidi N Closet, who declares: “No one is born hating someone. No one is born discriminating against someone. No one is born racist.

“It is taught and it is a product of your environment.”

The video, which is urging fans to donate and support anti-racism organisations Know Your Rights Camp and the Equal Justice Initiative, has already racked up more than 130,000 views since being shared last Friday (5 June).
