Millie Bobby Brown to play a bisexual con artist in Netflix film ‘The Girls I’ve Been’
The 16-year-old 'Stranger Things' star has signed up for an adaption of Tess Sharpe’s YA novel of the same name
Millie Bobby Brown first turned heads as telepath Eleven in Stranger Things – and now she’s set to do a real number on us as a bisexual con artist.
The British actress has signed up for Netflix’s upcoming LGBTQ film The Girls I’ve Been, based on Tess Sharpe’s YA novel of the same name.
She’ll play Nora, who must use her powers of persuasion and impersonating skills to get herself, her girlfriend and her ex-boyfriend out of a hostage situation at the bank.
That’s the kind of situation where being telepathic would really come in handy…
Ozark star Jason Bateman is on board to produce the project, which has yet to confirm a writer or a director.
Brown – who was nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a drama at the 2017 and 2018 Emmys – is waiting to resume production on season four of Netflix’s supernatural hit.
The 16-year-old up-and-comer will next appear in Enola Holmes, also for the streaming giant, as Sherlock and Mycroft’s super-sleuth sister.
Two years ago, Brown was forced to deactivate her Twitter account after being targeted by trolls and turned into an anti-gay meme, which wrongly imagined the child star as being violently homophobic.
