Mel B hints the Spice Girls might perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding
Scary Spice confirmed that the girls are headed to the wedding of the year.
Mel B has hinted that the Spice Girls may perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.
The America’s Got Talent judge teased a potential on-stage Spice reunion during her appearance on US talk show The Real this week, the Huffington Post reports.
When co-host Loni Love asked the former Spice Girl if she knew anyone attending the wedding and Mel B nodded knowingly, implying that she is going to the eagerly-anticipated event on May 19.
The ‘Wannabe’ singer said: “Well, it was [the] five Spice Girls. Why am I so honest?”
Love then asked: “So they invited all five Spice Girls to the royal wedding?”
Mel B confirmed the news with a “yes” before Love then asked the Spice Girl whether the girl band will be performing at the royal event.
“I do have a serious question, though, and maybe you can answer it, maybe not,” she said. “Will the Spice Girls be performing at the reception?”
Scary Spice replied: “Ah, swear I’m just like…” before giving a wry smile and throwing her notecards in the air.
Love then screamed: “YES they are performing!”
Mel B joked: “I need to go – I’m gonna be fired!”
It was previously rumoured that Ed Sheeran would perform at the royal wedding after Sam Smith revealed he isn’t doing it.
Harry and Meghan’s wedding would certainly make a headline-grabbing comeback for the Spice Girls, who confirmed earlier this month that they were reuniting to explore some “incredible new opportunities together”.
