Marvel Studios are reportedly looking to cast its first ever transgender actor.

The ginormous Marvel Cinematic Universe is looking to expand its current non-existent LGBTQ-representation in the upcoming Phase 4.

Now, Geeks WorldWide are claiming that Marvel Studios are looking to cast their first-ever transgender actress.

According to the site, the casting call is asking for a transwoman of any ethnicity in her 20s and 30s to play a mysterious character called ‘Jessica’.

With this reveal, many fans have speculated the character Sera will be making her MCU debut as she is Marvel’s only trans superhero.

During San Diego Comic Con, Tessa Thompson – who starred as Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok – revealed that her character will be looking for ‘her queen’ in the upcoming fourth Thor film, Thor: Love and Thunder.

In the comics, Sera is an Anchorite – a small group of male, wingless Angels kept inside a temple in the Tenth Realm.

The superhero is the only one of the Anchorites who identifies as a woman in the Marvel comics universe.

She was released by Thor’s long-lost half-sister, Angela, and they eventually became lovers.

We know Natalie Portman will be returning as Jane Fonda in the upcoming Thor film and will debut as Lady Thor in the MCU and Chris Hemsworth will also be reprising his role as the God of Thunder.

But not much else is known but Pose star, Angelica Ross, teased that she may possibly make her MCU debut.

She wrote on Twitter: “Ummmm @Marvel? They keep asking if I’m joining the family. You want to tell ‘em? #MarvelStudios”
