Madonna suffers another awkward wardrobe malfunction on stage

By Troy Nankervis

It’s happened again. Well, almost. In an excruciatingly awkward clip from her Rebel Heart Tour stop in Thailand this week, Madonna has proven she may have some ongoing issues with delicate fabrics, after narrowly avoiding another BRITs-style onstage fall.

Madge was mid-way through the chorus of 1984 hit ‘Material Girl’ during her recent show in Bangkok when the with a see-through veil draped over her failed to be removed by her two backing dancer, leaving the 57-year-old a bit caught in the moment and the song ever-so-briefly interrupted.

Always the true professional, however, Madonna put on her “game face”, recovered and got on quickly with the rest of the show.

The mishap comes almost a year since her ill-fated performance of ‘Looking For Love’ at the BRIT Awards, after which Madonna described her heart-stopping fall in front of millions of viewers across the world as a “horror show”.

“I had a little bit of whiplash, I smacked the back of my head,” she said at the time.

“And I had a man standing over me with a flashlight until about 3am to make sure I was compos mentis.”

“I know how to fall, I have fallen off my horse many times.”

Meanwhile, Beyonce nearly took a tumble during her half-time performance set at Sunday’s Superbowl, but, like Madge, managed to recover and steal the show.
