Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard ‘wouldn’t rule out’ a relationship with a man

"You can never put a label on it."

By Will Stroude

Love Island star Curtis Pritchard might currently be involved with co-star (and bona fide gay icon) Maura Higgins, but the 23-year-old reality TV star has revealed he ‘wouldn’t rule out’ a relationship with a man in the future.

Professional dancer Curtis, the younger brother of Strictly Come Dancing pro AJ Pritchard, told The Sun that while he’s  been with women past and presently, he isn’t the type to label his sexuality.

“I’ve been with women and I’m with a woman now,” Curtis said. “You can never put a label on anything.”

He added: “It’s a cliche to say, but love is blind. I can never ever say what will happen in the future…

“I wouldn’t rule anything out.”

The comments come after Curtis sparked viewer speculation about his sexuality after locking lips with Love Island co-star Tommy Fury during his time on the show, leading to his mum Debbie to remark: “Curtis is comfortable enough in his sexuality to be confident in expressing himself.”

Curtis’s open-minded attitude to love and relationships echoes that of older brother AJ, who last year insisted he shouldn’t have to “define” his sexuality for other people’s benefit.

Meanwhile, it was recently announced that both Curtis and AJ are set to appear togeher as dance coaches on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK when it kicks off on BBC Three this autumn – click here to find out more.
