Louis Smith: ‘Guys ask me to sit on their face’

By Josh Haggis

LOUIS-150-229x300

Louis Smith has spoken about the cheeky comments he receives from some of his gay fans.

The sexy Olympic gymnast, 25, strips off for the latest Attitude cover, and during his extensive cover interview he discusses homophobia in sport, Tom Daley’s bravery in coming out last year, and his penchant for a suggestive selfie.

His popularity with members of the same sex is also a conversation topic during the interview.

“Oh God. I do get some funky comments like ‘sit on my face!’ But I always say it; support is support, wherever it’s from, so bring it on!” Louis chuckles.

Discussing the comments he receives from appreciative fans generally, Smith says: “You know what, 99 percent of the time they’re fine. But now and again you do get the odd tweet – whether it’s from a girl or a gay person – that does kind of cross the line!

“But you have to have a laugh and have a giggle. I mean, I like a dirty joke as much as the next person so I do laugh about it.”

The full interview with Louis Smith appears in the latest issue of Attitude, which is available to download to your iPad or tablet device now.

The print edition of the magazine will be available to pick up in shops from next Wednesday (May 28).
