Pixie Lott is emerging as the early bookies’ favourite to win this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

William Hill now has the popstar at 3/1 to win this year’s series – up from 6/1 when she was first announced as a contestant last week.

Close behind Lott are The Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge and former Attitude cover stars Simon Webbe and Thom Evans, all placed at 6/1. Meanwhile, former another former Attitude cover star, Mark Wright, isn’t far behind at 8/1.

Casualty actress Sunetra Sarker is at 12/1, while nature presenter Steve Backshall follows at 20/1. This Morning’s Alison Hammond is currently a rank outsider with odds of 40/1.

A spokesperson for William Hill said: “We have seen a ‘Lott’ of money for Pixie, she must be impressing a number of people on the inside during practice and we will see how much trouble we are in on Sunday!”

Meanwhile, Thom Evans has predicted that he will perform best in dances that require him to move his hips – find out more here.
