Liza Minnelli was forced to cancel her show with Alan Cumming in Provincetown, Massachusetts on Monday (August 4).

The actress and singer was unable to appear at the Cabaret-themed show due to an undisclosed medical condition, resulting in Cumming putting on a performance of his acclaimed solo show.

Minnelli was forced to cancel her European tour, which included a one-off show in London, due to illness earlier this year – read more here.

A statement from Minnelli’s publicist read: “Liza is under doctor’s orders to continue to restrict her travel and performance schedule.

“Liza sends her regrets that she won’t be able to perform with her dear friend Alan and will miss seeing her fans and friends in Provincetown.”

Last month, she sent Shia LaBeouf a copy of Cabaret on DVD following his arrest at a New York production of the musical – find out more here.
