Lil Nas X returns to work for Taco Bell – but as ‘chief impact officer’

Lil Nas X is back working at Taco Bell – but under the new position of “chief impact officer.”
The ‘Industry Baby’ rapper, who was recently nominated for five awards at the MTV VMAs – used to work as a server at an Atlanta-area Taco Bell when he was a teen.
According to an announcement from the fast food retailer yesterday, the newly created honorary role that will allow Lil Nas to ‘collaborate on the brand experience from the inside out.’
Responding to the news, the 22-year-old Grammy-winner – who depicted his early days at Taco Bell in the recent video for ‘Sun Goes Down’ – said on Twitter yesterday: “Life has come full circle, i officially work at taco bell again [sic].”

“More than just marketing”
Commenting, Mark King, CEO of Taco Bell said: “Lil Nas X knows the job, the experience and the culture Taco Bell creates for its fans – including its people.”
King added: “This unique partnership will deliver on more than just marketing, allowing us to tap into the genius of Lil Nas X to inspire our team members and align with our commitment to unlocking opportunities for young people.”

According to the release, in his first 60 days, Lil Nas X and Taco Bell are “teaming up to offer an exclusive experience around the upcoming release of his album ‘Montero,’ launching Taco Bell’s newest menu innovations, and most importantly, tapping into his history as a Taco Bell team member to help make the experience even more impactful.”
Lil Nas, who is gay, is known for the Billboard Hot 100 hits ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ and ‘Old Town Road’.

The star’s debut album ‘Montero’ is out “soon”, according to a trailer of the release shared to Instagram in June.
Judging by the visual, it will also contain previous hits ‘Holiday’ and ‘Panini’.
