Lana Del Rey is on course to score her second UK Number One album this Sunday (June 22).

The singer’s new album Ultraviolence has sold close to 30,000 copies already this week, putting it in pole position in today’s midweek update from the Official Chart Company.

The album’s nearest rival, the latest effort from US nu-metal band Linkin Park, is some 14,000 copies behind.

Del Rey unveiled the video for one of the album’s standout tracks, Shades of Cool, earlier today (June 18) and you can watch it here.

Her previous album, Born to Die, entered the UK albums chart at Number One upon its release in February 2012.

Over on the singles chart, Aussie boyband 5 Seconds of Summer are on course to knock X Factor alumnus Ella Henderson off the top spot this Sunday. Their new single Don’t Stop is currently some 22,000 copies ahead of Henderson’s Ghost – but the Official Chart Company reports that Henderson’s single is now gaining in momentum, and has a chance of catching up by Sunday.

Meanwhile, Demi Lovato’s dance-pop banger Neon Lights is currently just outside the top ten, sitting at number eleven.
