It’s time to roll out the red carpet, because the Princess of Pop is set to make a return to the charts.

Yep, Ms. Kylie Minogue has announced the details of her long-awaited 14th studio album – and the even better news? Our first taste of the new record will be coming in matter of weeks.

The ‘Into the Blue’ singer is reportedly set to unveil brand new single ‘Dancing’ later this month, with album Golden to follow in the spring.

Rumours began swirling about the record’s release on Wednesday (January 10) after posters were spotted around Paris which appeared to bear the artwork for Golden.

Kylie, who picked up the Legacy Award at the Attitude Awards last October, later confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: “#Lovers … It’s true. We have GOLDEN💫 times ahead!!! I can’t wait to share new music with you.”

Little is known about the direction of Kylie’s new record, but it appears that country music and a trip toNashville may have shaped the 49-year-old’s club queen’s sound this time around.

“I went to Nashville for two weeks and that became the album. I did a lot of work on the album before that but Nashville had a profound effect on me,” Kylie recently told Biz On Sunday.

“The songs are very storytelling and story-based. It was so great to do things a little bit differently.”

Golden will be Kylie’s first record since 2015’s Kylie Christmas and first album of original music since 2014’s Kiss Me Once
