Kanye West thanks Cher for ushering in Autotune era

Kanye West has thanked Cher for ushering in the era of Autotune.

According to a tweet by the legendary gay icon, the controversial rapper approached her at the Met Gala and praised her for being at the forefront of bringing Autotune into the mainstream.

Cher famously used Autotune in her 1998 smash hit Believe, which went on to sell over 1.7 million copies in the UK and quickly became one of the singer’s most iconic singles.
