Heartstopper leading man Joe Locke is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming series, Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

The series, which is a spin-off of the popular WandaVision, will see Joe join Kathryn Hahn as the witch Agatha Harkness.

In WandaVision Agatha (who was famously messing up everything all along – see below) was revealed to be a centuries-old witch.

Agatha craved Wanda’s powers and helped her discover her identity as the legendary and all-powerful Scarlet Witch.

We last saw Agatha being defeated by Wanda and left trapped in the run-down town of Westview as her nosy neighbour alter-ego, Agnes.

As reported by Variety there are no details of Locke’s casting or plot details for the show, and representatives for Marvel or Joe have commented on the casting.

Deadline has reported that Emma Caulfield Ford will reprise her role of Dottie from WandaVision.

However, Joe took to Twitter to celebrate sharing three purple hearts and a crying emoji face.

Since his breakthrough role as Charlie Spring in the smash success that is Netflix’s Heartstopper Joe has starred in the play, The Trials alongside his Heartstopper castmate Will Gao.

Joe is also busy filming for season two of Heartstopper, which was confirmed just weeks after the show’s launch on Netflix earlier this year.
