Dua Lipa, Whitney Houston, Beyonce and Bruce Springsteen all feature on Joe Biden’s inauguration playlist, it has been revealed.

Democrat Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will be inaugurated on Wednesday 20 January, where Dua’s ‘Levitating’, Beyonce’s ‘Find Your Way Back’, Kygo and Whitney Houston’s ‘Higher Love’ will be played.

The inauguration follows Biden’s defeat of current President and Republican leader Donald Trump in the polls last November.

“Relentless spirit and rich diversity of America”

In a statement, the Biden-Harris team said the songs “represent the diversity of our nation, and our strength and resilience as we look forward to new leadership and a new era in America.”

Chief executive of the Presidential Inauguration Committee, Tony Allen, commented: “Today we are excited to share President-elect Biden’s and Vice-President-elect Harris’ official inaugural playlist with the nation. These songs and artists reflect the relentless spirit and rich diversity of America.

“They are the score to a new chapter and will help bring people together as the Biden-Harris Administration begins its important work to unite our country.”

The 46-song list also features tunes by the likes of SZA and Steely Dan; check it out in full on Spotify here.
