Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts are rumoured to be appearing in Ryan Murphy’s new horror series Scream Queens.

According to Deadline, the pair have both been linked to the anthology series, which will focus on a college campus rocked by a series of murders.

As the original scream queen 56-year-old Curtis is an obvious choice for the project, having earned the mantle in John Carpenter’s Halloween films and 80s horror classics like The Fog, Prom Night and Terror Train.

Meanwhile, Roberts previously demonstrated her scream queen prowess in slasher film Scream 4, and is currently appearing in Murphy’s other TV horror series, American Horror Story: Freak Show, after joining the cast for last year’s installment, Coven.

Scream Queens has already been picked up by American television network Fox for 15 hour-long episodes, which will go into production in early 2015. Murphy is working with Glee collaborators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan on the show, which is expected to debut in autumn next year.

Murphy’s American Horror Story was recently renewed for a fifth season, following the premiere of its Freak Show season – read more about the current season here.
