Is this the best coming out announcement of all time?

By Attitude Magazine

Well this is one way to do it, we suppose.

After taking a family trip to Disneyland, California, 16-year-old Gina decided to take a novel approach to the whole ‘coming out thing’.

While sitting on the ride Splash Mountain, Gina quite literally took the plunge as she held up a rainbow sign proclaiming ‘I’m gay’ as the camera took a photo during the five-story drop.

The subsequent picture taken has gone viral, getting over 5,000 retweets and 9,000 likes.

Speaking to the Huffington Post, Gina said that her mum first thought she’d held up the sign up in tribute to last month’s shooting in Orlando. After realising it was her daughter’s way of coming, Gina recalls: “She just hugged me and told me she was proud of me!”

The high school student adds that her brothers already thought that she was gay and the rest of her family have been supportive of the news.

Gina also offered her own advice for people coming out, saying, “It’s an overwhelming process, so just make sure you’re comfortable with who you are and make sure you’re prepared for questions or reactions people may have.”
