‘I’m not someone who is remotely perturbed by male intimacy’ – Taron Egerton on his first ever sex scene in ‘Rocketman’

Taron Egerton “threw” himself into his first ever sex scene in Rocketman.
The Welsh actor is set to portray the legendary gay singer Elton John in the upcoming musical biopic and stars alongside the Bodyguard star, Richard Madden, who plays John’s long-time manager and former boyfriend John Reid.
And for the film, Egerton had to shoot his first ever sex scene and although he never explicitly says who it is with, we can put two and two together and suggest it could be with Madden – and if that hasn’t sold the film than we don’t know what will.
He told MTV: “I really threw myself into it, I filmed my first sex scene for this film and it’s with quite a well-known man.
“I do feel the movie we shot is absolutely a celebration of everything that Elton John is and part of that is his sexuality.
“I actually think the gay community will be quite surprised by quite how gay it feels. I loved every second if it.
“I’m not someone who is remotely perturbed by male intimacy and I am quite proud of what we’ve done with it. We really went some places with it.”
Dexter Fletcher has helmed the film, which has been written by Lee Hall, the man behind Billy Elliot the Musical and the 2005 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice starring Keira Knightley
Egerton stars alongside Jamie Bell, Gemma Jones and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Rocketman is slated to be released in May next year.
